Tras unas primeras acciones y experiencias, Teamtol se constituye como grupo de investigación en el año 2017 para continuar la acción y el empuje pedagógico que ha caracterizado esta primera década.
El grupo se dedica a la investigación y fomento de acciones en el entorno construido para el estímulo y la mejora social, con las ciudades y pueblos de nuestro territorio próximo como laboratorio y lugar de acción. La actividad se apoya en la mirada y la reflexión sobre nuestros asentamientos y su patrimonio cultural, el afán de transformación, el contacto permanente con la artesanía y la innovación y la actuación real sobre el medio construido.
La actividad investigadora se entrelaza con la docente en talleres transversales donde la experimentación y el oficio se unen. Los estudiantes toman parte activa del desarrollo de proyectos reales junto a sus profesores.
Teamtol is a team of lecturers and researchers of the Toledo School of Architecture, University of Castilla-la Mancha. Founded in 2010 by Manuel de las Casas, the school was established with the vocation to serve and the desire to transform and improve the territory to which it belongs.
After some first actions and experiences, Teamtol was constituted as a research team in 2017 to continue the action and pedagogical drive that has characterized this first decade.
The group is dedicated to the research and promotion of actions in the built environment for the stimulation and social improvement, with the cities and towns of our nearby territory as a laboratory and place of action. The activity relays on the attentive eye on our settlements and their cultural heritage, the desire for transformation, the permanent contact with craftsmanship and innovation and the real action on the built environment.
The research activity is intertwined with teaching in transversal workshops where experimentation meets crafts. Students take an active part in the development of real projects together with their lecturers.
